From the Garden
2010. Acrylic on Canvas
From the Garden is a suite of plein-air paintings inspired by my wife Isabel’s gardens in Portland, Oregon. In this series I was interested in responding to the complex vitality and chromatic luminosity of botanical elements staged so artfully by she whose understanding and sensitivity to growing things is so very superior to my own.
This show is therefore dedicated to María Isabel Pinyas de Mills.
